London: Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has been ruled out for three weeks with a hamstring injury and is likely to miss France's upcoming World Cup qualifier against Finland.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said Sagna picked up “a little hamstring problem” in a 2-0 midweek win over Napoli in the Champions League.
France plays Australia in a friendly next Friday and then hosts Finland at Stade de France four days later. Didier Deschamps' team looks certain to finish second in Europe Group I behind Spain, and having to qualify through the playoffs next month.
Sagna will also miss English Premier League matches against West Bromwich Albion and Norwich and could also be unavailable for the Champions League game with Borussia Dortmund on Oct. 22.
