Wembley, Sep 5: England coach Fabio Capello has urged striker Andy Carroll, the country's most expensive player, to curb his drinking and change his lifestyle.
Liverpool's 35-million pound (then $56 million) January signing is struggling for action for club and country.
And Capello says Carroll's "style of life is a problem, if it is not good, because he needs to be careful."
Having previously hoped Carroll could form an England strike partnership with Wayne Rooney, Capello added: "If he wants to be a good player and a good sportsman, he needs to drink less than the others."
Carroll was not even named as a substitute in Sofia on Friday as England beat Bulgaria 3-0 in qualifying for the 2012 European Championship. AP
