Munich, Aug 25: Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes is hinting this season may be his last.
The 67-year-old Heynckes tells the Sueddeutschen Zeitung newspaper that "a part of life comes to an end" when his two-year contract ends on June 30, 2013.
Heynckes had until recently kept open the possibility of extending his contract with the Bavarian club.
Heynckes says "the club said we would sit down (to talk) in December, in January, early in the year, but I'm no longer 37."
Heynckes is in his third stint as Bayern coach. Last season Bayern finished runner-up in the Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League.
Bayern opens its league campaign at promoted Bavarian rival Greuther Fuerth on Saturday.
