Munich, Sept 29: Bayern Munich defender Breno remains in investigative custody after Thursday's hearing in his suspected arson case.
The Brazilian appeared before a judge for the first time on Thursday. Prosecutor's spokeswoman Barbara Stockinger tells the dapd news agency the judge made no immediate decision on whether Breno could be released while the investigation continues.
He was arrested to prevent him from fleeing the country. Investigators believe Breno set his rented villa on fire nine days ago, causing damage estimated at up to 1.5 million ($2.04 million). AP
