Monaco, Aug 25: In two weeks as a Barcelona player Cesc Fabregas hopes to help lift a second trophy, with the European Super Cup at stake on Friday.
Fabregas says that winning silverware is important to him, after collecting just one FA Cup winner's medal in seven years at Arsenal.
The ¤29 million ($42 million) Spain international says Thursday, “I came to Barcelona to get better, to compete, and obviously to win trophies as well.”
Fabregas won a Spanish Super Cup medal with Barcelona last week.
His second triumph could come when the Champions League winner plays Europa League winner FC Porto.
Still, Fabregas reveals he watched on television as his former Arsenal teammates beat Udinese in their Champions League playoff on Wednesday. AP
