Shillong, Dec 19: Arhima Football Club (AFC) of Meghalaya entered the final of the 22nd All India Meghalaya Invitation Football Tournament defeating Royal Wahingdoh Football Club (RWFC) 3-0 here today.
In a keenly contested match held at the Polo Ground, AFC scored through Bansharai Sun (39th minute), Kyrshan Lynshing (44th minute) and Babatunde Oyomide Badmus (89th minute) to oust RWFC, another Meghalaya team.
AFC custodian Markus Basumatari and RWFC goalkeeper Karma T. Lepcha displayed their skill and saved their respective teams conceding goals several times.
In the second semifinal tomorrow, Langsning Football Club will play against Meghalaya Police Football Team.
The final will be held on December 22.
