Arsene Wenger celebrated his 800th English Premier League game in charge of Arsenal with a 2-1 comeback victory over Swansea on Saturday.

Sam Clucas' calm finish gave Swansea a halftime lead but goals from Sead Kolasinac and Aaron Ramsey ensured Wenger could celebrate the milestone, 10 games short of Alex Ferguson's record.

Arsenal failed to reproduce the attacking fluency it displayed when thrashing Everton last weekend, but ground out a valuable victory that moved it within a point of third-placed Tottenham.

Having dominated the opening exchanges, Arsenal fell behind after a moment of sloppiness from Laurent Koscielny.

Tammy Abraham stole the ball from the Arsenal defender and played a perfectly weighted through ball for Clucas, who expertly guided his finish through Petr Cech's legs.

Arsenal enjoyed all the territory but failed to test its former goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski until five minutes before halftime, when Alexis Sanchez forced him into a fine save.

Arsenal didn't level until six minutes after the break. Mesut Ozil's shot was blocked into the path of Kolasinac, whose shot across goal had too much power for Fabianski to keep out.

With Arsenal rampant, Koscielny almost atoned for his first-half error but headed Sanchez's free-kick inches wide from six yards out.
However, the Gunners didn't have to wait long to take the lead as Kolasinac turned provider in the 58th. The defender's cutback found Ramsey, who squeezed his shot past Fabianski at the near post.
