Arsenal superstar Mesut Ozil, who is known for his magic tricks with a football at his feet had a fanboy moment when he met Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday. In a Premier League match between Arsenal and Newcastle United, Shah Rukh was present at the Emirates Stadium to support the Gunners. Arsenal thrashed Newcastle by 2-0 to jump to the third spot on the Premier League points table. Ozil was chosen as the Man of the Match for his masterful performance.
After the match, Ozil took to Twitter and thanked Shah Rukh Khan for attending the match as a special guest.
"It was a big honour to have you as my special guest during yesterday's match! Thanks for coming! @iamsrk || Kal ki match mein aapka swaagat karna mere liye ek sammaan ki baat thi. Aane ke liye dhanyavaad. #M1Ö #YaGunnersYa," Ozil posted on his Twitter page.
While SRK also didn't hold himself back and Tweeted a note for Ozil and his team Arsenal for their 'warmth love & hospitality'.
Shah Rukh wrote, "What a lovely evening @Arsenal congratulations. Thx @MesutOzil1088 & #AmineGulse for your warmth love & hospitality. See u guys soon in India."
Earlier, Aaron Ramsey's parting gift to Arsenal might just have helped the club back into the Champions League. Ramsey scored in the 30th minute to set Arsenal on its way to a 2-0 win over Newcastle on Monday, lifting Unai Emery's team above Tottenham and Manchester United and into third place in the Premier League.
Alexandre Lacazette added the second goal in the 83rd minute in a dominant performance at Emirates Stadium by Arsenal, which has won 10 straight home league games within a single season for the first time since May 1998.
