Cristiano Ronaldo has recently revealed his main reason to leave Real Madrid after playing there for nine years. He blamed the club president Florentino Perez for his decision. Since the news came out the Madrid chief is facing a huge backlash from Ronaldo's fans on social media platforms. The new addition to that list is none other than Indian cricket team vice-captain Rohit Sharma. The Indian opening batsman asked Perez a simple but strong question: 'What did you do?'
Hitman took to Twitter and posted a newspaper cutting while saying, "What did you do Mr Perez @realmadrid."
In a recent interview with France Football magazine, five-time Ballon d'Or winner said, "I felt within the club, especially from the president, that I was no longer considered in the same way as I was at the beginning.”
“For the first four or five years, I felt like Cristiano Ronaldo. Less so after."
“The president looked at me in a way that suggested I was no longer indispensable if you know what I mean. That is what made me think about leaving” he added.
Indian cricket team has many Real Madrid and Ronaldo fans including skipper Virat Kohli, who is also taunted as the CR7 of world cricket. Virat Kohli has also shared the screen with the Portuguese footballer in a tv commercial.
On the professional side, Rohit has been in great form against West Indies in the ongoing ODI series and has been recalled in the Test team for the major away series against Australia in December.
While Ronaldo is enjoying his time at his new club Juventus and has scored a brace against Empoli on Saturday where the Italian champions won by 2-1.
