Moscow, Aug 12 : The fastest man in the world Jamaican Usain Bolt on Sunday clocked a season's best of 9.77 seconds to win the 100 metre gold in World Athletic Championships here.
He reclaimed his world 100m title in emphatic style in heavy rain, at the Luzhniki Stadium, leaving behind America's Justin Gatlin seond (9.85 sec) and Jamaican Nesta Carter third (9.95 sec).
Bolt kept his head and shoulders low as he sprinted on the track. At the 50 metre mark, he pushed his huge frame through his transition phase, head up and long legs striding ahead, and eyes on the big screen as he touched the finishing line.
Usain Bolt missed the gold at the World Championships in Daegu two years ago because of a false start.
