Myroslav Dykun, who won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, tested positive for amphetamines at the British senior championships in March.
UK Anti-Doping says Dykun has been banned from the sport until April 29, 2014, with the start of the suspension dating to when he was provisionally suspended.
Mykun was born in Ukraine but moved to Britain in 2003 as part of the country's initiative to get Eastern European athletes to help homegrown wrestlers develop into medal prospects.
British Wrestling then announced the imports would be eligible for the Olympics, angering British-born wrestlers.
