Australia,Jun25: Stuart O'Grady has been named to compete at his sixth Olympics and Tour De France champion Cadel Evans at his fourth as members of Australia's powerful road cycling team for the London Games.
The 38-year-old O'Grady, a three-time Tour de France stage winner, and Evans, who begins the defense of his Tour de France title this week, were named on Monday along with ProTour colleagues Matt Goss, Simon Gerrans and Michael Rogers.
O'Grady won an Olympic gold medal in the madison at Athens in 2004, while Evans began his Olympic career at the 2000 Sydney Games as a mountain biker.
Gerrans won this year's Milan-San Remo Classic and Goss was a silver medalist at last year's world championship, giving Australia a strong hand in the Olympic road race.
