Nanjing (China): Indian boys and girls teams reached the semi-finals of the team event in the Asian Youth Games squash competition in contrasting styles, here Wednesday.
The Indian boys defeated Jordan 3-0 and Pakistan, who entered only two players, 2-1 to remain undefeated in the league, while the girls team went down to Hong Kong 0-3, but still progressed to the semi-finals.
In the penultimate round of the girls competition, India take on Malaysia and Hong Kong face Japan while the Indian boys await the results of the concluding league matches in the other pool to learn their semi-final opponents.

Boys: India beat Jordan 3-0 (Yogesh Madhav Dhingra bt Asafa A 11-7, 11-5, 11-3; Vijay Meena bt Al Zubaidi 11-6, 11-5, 11-7; Kush Kumar bt Mohd Alsrraj 11-8, 11-7, 16-14).
India beat Pakistan 2-1 (Vijay Meena bt Mohd Farhan 11-6, 11-4, 11-5; Kush Kumar lost to Israr Ahmed 9-11, 11-9, 13-11 retd; Pakistan concede third singles).
Girls: Hong Kong beat India 3-0 (Chan HC bt Adya Advani 14-12, 12-10, 11-5; Choi US bt Tanvi Khanna 11-5, 11-8, 11-6; Pansy Chan bt Harshit Kaur Jawanda 11-9, 11-9, 11-9).
