Changwon (South Korea): Former World No.1 Heena Sidhu narrowly missed out on the women's 10m air pistol finals at the ISSF World Cup (Rifle/Pistol) here on Monday.
The Indian was tied with five others on a score of 385 out of a maximum 400 at the end of qualification where each shooter has to shoot 40 shots each. She missed out on the final on a technical point.
Heena's compatriot Shweta Chaudhry finished 34th with a score of 378 while Annu Raj Singh ended her campaign in 55th with 375.
In other news, the trio of Lajja Gauswami, Elizabeth Susan Koshy and Anjali Bhagwat missed out on qualification for the women's 50m rifle 3 positions finals.
Lajja finished 16th with a score of 578, Elizabeth 20th with 576 while Anjali could only manage 566 to end 57th.
In the men's 25m rapid fire pistol, Indian duo of Olympic silver medallist Vijay Kumar and Gurpreet Singh shot identical scores of 278 in the first stage of qualification. They will be shooting in the second stage on Tuesday in an attempt to reach the finals.
