The Indian contingent got off to a good start on day one of the ongoing Hangzhou Asian Games. India claimed three silver and two bronze medals to finish the day and ended in the seventh position in the medal tally. India claimed silver in men's lightweight double sculls rowing, men's eight rowing and in women's 10m air rifle team shooting. The two bronze medals came in women's 10m air rifle individual shooting and men's pair rowing.
