Amsterdam, May 25: The Rabobank cycling team says Dutch rider Marianne Vos has broken her collarbone in a fall, but will likely recover in time for the London Olympics race.
The team says Vos fell after colliding with a motorcycle during a race in Holland Friday in the hilly southern province of Limburg. She got back on her bike and finished second, despite the accident.
An X-ray later confirmed the break. Doctors will discuss her rehabilitation on Tuesday.
Vos is scheduled to race in a month time to defend her Giro d'Italia title. The Olympic race is set for July 29.
Vos won gold at the Beijing Games in the points race on the track.
