In mixed news for the Indian contingent at Rio Olympics, ace shooter Abhinav Bindra has qualified for the men’s 10m air rifle event. However, London Olympics medalist Gagan Narang crashed out of the qualifiers.
Bindra, who was at 11th position at one time, made an excellent comeback and finished seventh thereby entering the finals of the 10m air pistol event.
On the other hand, Gagan Narang, who was on top in the initial stage, posted a disappointing 104.8 in the final series and finished 23rd, thereby failing to qualify for the final event.
