Maninder Singh scored 12 raid points to lead Bengal Warriors to a 34-30 victory over Tamil Thalaivas in Pro Kabaddi League encounter. The Bengal Warriors have been in great form so far in the season and were seeking revenge coming into this encounter as the Tamil Thalaivas defeated the Warriors the last time the two teams met. Surjeet Singh's Warriors managed to tame Ajay Thakur's Thalaivas this time as their defence and raiding skills were on point in Pune.
Surjeet Singh, who scored six tackle points ably supported him. Ajay Thakur scored 14 points for Tamil Thalaivas but his effort went in vain. Although Thalaivas scored more raid points than Bengal Warriors, their defence couldn't support the raiders at crucial moments of the match.
Bengal Warriors are on top of the table in Zone B with 74 points from 21 matches. Tamil Thalaivas are bottom of the table with 41 points from 21 matches.
Gujarat Fortunegiants, on the other hand, humiliated the hosts Puneri Paltan in their first game at home. Gujarat outshined and outclassed Deepak Hooda's Paltans to continue their winning streak. The score read 44-20. Gujarat's skipper Sukesh Hedge was on a roll as he picked up fifteen raid points in the match. The Puneri Paltans were doing pretty well before this fixture till they came across one of the most threatening and dominating teams this season.
