District Magistrate (DM) from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, Suhas LY created the history after winning the gold medal in the Asian Para Badminton Championship in Beijing on Sunday.
Earlier, he won all his six matches, 2 doubles and four singles, in his winning spree.
Uttar Pradesh government took to official Twitter handle to congratulate Suhas LY.
They wrote:
“Azamgarh District Magistrate Suhas Elwai has made the state and country proud by winning gold medal at the Asian Para-Badminton Championships in Beijing.”
