Bhubaneswar: Having received a 1-4 thrashing at the hands of the Netherlands Sunday, Olympic champions Germany hope to put up a better show against World Cup bronze medallists Argentina in a Hero Hockey Champions Trophy Pool B match at the Kalinga Stadium here Tuesday to boost their confidence before the quarterfinals.
"If we want to win the coming match, we need to do improve our ball possession and we have to defend better as a team," German goalkeeper Nicolas Jacobi told IANS.
The Markus Weise-coached team went through a full practice session Monday afternoon.
Speaking about the Argentine team, he said, "They have good counter-attack players and they defend well. So, those have to be taken care of to ensure our victory."
He said their team is adapted to the weather condition here and it would not pose any problem during the game.
