Harare, Aug 8: Fast bowlers Chris Mpofu and Kyle Jarvis shared seven second-innings wickets as Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh by 130 runs on Monday for a first test victory in seven years in its comeback match.
Bangladesh was 244 all out soon after lunch on day five at Harare Sports Club, giving the Zimbabweans a successful return to the five-day format after a six-year absence.
With the visitors continuing on 112-3, chasing a target of 375, Zimbabwe removed five batsmen in the morning session, including dangerman Mohammad Ashraful for 39.
Jarvis then bowled Shafiul Islam first ball after lunch and wrapped up the match with the wicket of Robiul Islam in the third over of the second session.
