World T20: A new look pace attack for Team India.

New Delhi: Team India has quietly gone for a transition phase in the pace bowling department. The line up in the pace bowling department in the ongoing World T20 gives a indication of this transition. Seniors bowlers like Zaheer Khan, Praveen Kumar Munaf Patel and even Ishant Sharma have been sidelined and a new look pace attack has been sent to lead the team India's pace battery. Lets take a look on the new generation of pace bowlers who will be leading the charge of team India. A new quartet of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Varun Aaron and Mohit Sharma has been given the charge of shouldering the responsibility of team India's pace attack. Bhuvneshwar Kumar: The lanky bowler comes from the city of Meerut from where another fast bowler , Praveen Kumar had also played for India. Although he bowls with a speed limit of around 130 kmph but the main weapon in his armoury is the impeccable line in which he bowls. He made his ODI and T20 debut against arch rival Pakistan in the year 2012 while in test he debut against Australia. He made a dream debut to his international career where in his first delivery of his one day international match he took the wicket of Pakistani opener batsman Nasir Jamshed . Till date he has played three T20 matches in which he had taken seven wickets, a tally that he would surely like to improve upon. He has also played 35 ODI matches in which he took 37 wickets and in the short span of cricketing career he has played 6 test matches in which he had taken nine wickets. Mohammed Shami: He made an early debut in team India when he had played only 15 first class games when he got the call to be a part of team India . He made his debut against Pakistan where he bowled a total of four maiden overs , to become the only the eight bowler in cricketing history to do so. He had an impressive test debut also since it was there in which he took four wickets by giving away just 71 runs against West Indies at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Till date he has played a total of six test matches where he had taken a total of 27 wickets and twenty nine ODI matches where he had taken a total of fifty wickets. At the present line up of bowlers he seemed to be the most impressive bowler or the in form bowler. He will be spearheading the pace attack of team India at the World T20 in Bangladesh. Varun Aaron: The pace bowler from Jharkhand also known as the ‘Jharkhand Express' is genuinely quick bowler who can clock around 150 kmph and hit 140 kmph frequently. Varun Aaron has a raw pace which Team India genuinely needs to instill fear in the minds of opposition batsman.. He has smooth run up which helps him to attain such pace. Off late he has been suffering from injury and he his making a comeback in the national team. He needs to find his touch back as soon as possible because that will be beneficial for team India. He played his first ODI match against England in Mumbai in 2011. He made his test debut against West Indies a month later also in Mumbai. Till date he has played eight ODI matches in which he has taken 11 wickets and the solitary test that he had played he had taken three wickets. He can be a force to reckon with in the ongoing world T20 and can be a real trump card for team India. Mohit Sharma: The last but also the latest entrant of the pace quartet is Mohit Sharma who belongs from Haryana. After an impressive domestic Ranji season he got a call for the national team where he was with the team that toured Zimbabwe in 2013. He is one of the few receipients who had earned the Man-of –the- Match performance on his ODI debut. He has got an excellent opportunity to prove himself in the ongoing world T20 tournament that he can play at the highest level.
