World Cup T20 warmup: Pakistan beats New Zealand by 6 wickets.

Mirpur(Bangladesh): Pakistan today won its warmup match against New Zealand by six wickets with one ball remaining ahead of the World Cup Twenty20 tournament here.

 

The Kiwis batted first and made 145 for 9 wickets off 20 overs with Brendon McCullum scoring an unbeaten 59.

 
Munro made 20 runs and Martin Guptill made 11, while the other players scores were in single digits.

 
Pak bowler Umar Gul got 3 wickets for 16, while Mohammad Talha had a score of 2/11. Sohail Tanvir got one wicket for 43.

 
Replying, Pakistan reached its target with one ball remaining, as opener wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal was in full cry making 52 runs before he was retired hurt.

 
Skipper Mohammad Hafeez made 55 runs before he was caught by Anderson off McCullum. Sharjeel Khan made 12 before he was caught by Southee off Hira.
