St. John's: Left-arm spinner Nikita Miller replaced Sunil Narine in the West Indies squad for the Cricket World Cup on Thursday.
Narine withdrew on Tuesday in a blow to the team because he wasn't confident he could sustain his revised offspin action throughout the tournament starting in less than three weeks in New Zealand and Australia.
Miller has toured both countries, and was in New Zealand a year ago for his first one-day internationals in three years. The last of his 45 one-dayers was a home game against England in March. He has taken 40 wickets at an average of 37.
