Hamilton, New Zealand: David Miller and J.P. Duminy struck a stunning unbeaten 256-run partnership that lifted South Africa to 339-4 against Zimbabwe, a score that would have seemed out of reach after the Proteas got off to a sluggish start in its opening cricket World Cup Pool B match.
Miller blasted nine sixes in his 138 off 92 balls, while Duminy scored an unbeaten 115 with three sixes as the pair made full use of the short boundaries at Hamiton's Seddon Park.
The partnership began slowly as the pair rebuilt the innings after the Proteas had slumped to 83-4 in the 21st over. It was the last wicket the team lost as Miller and Duminy piled on the runs, including 146 runs off the last 10 overs.
