Pakistan has always boasted of  its bowling attack particularly fast bowling. They have been key to Pakistan's success but if one looks at its World Cup attack one will notice this is probably the most inexperienced and weakest bowling attack this World Cup  would witness.

The severest jolt Pakistan suffered when its ace spin bowler Seed Ajmal was banned due to his illegal action. Though he is now cleared by ICC but he can only make it to the squad only if a bowler is injured during the course of the tournament.

Fast bowler Junaid Khan and  all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez's ouster too has compounded the miseries for Pakistan who now will be without their most trusted bowlers Saeed Ajmal, Mohham Hafeez and Junaid Khan.

Rahat Ali has been called up in place of Junaid Khan. He may be  a talented bowler but mind you he has just one ODI  in his resume.

Rahat, Sohail Khan, and Ehsan Adil form the Pakistan's front line attack but they have a collective experience of 10 ODIs. This is Pakistan's most inexperienced bowling attack ever in a World Cup,even the lowly-ranked Bangladesh and Zimbabwe have a more experienced pace attack.

Pakistan's pace attack comprises of Mohammad Irfan, Wahab Riaz, Ehsan Adil, Sohail Khan, and Rahat Ali. Collectively, the five pacers have played 97 ODIs and picked up 126 wickets. This is the most inexperienced pace attack among the 10 Test playing nations in this World Cup.

Not only that, but each one of the Test playing nations, except India and West Indies, have included at least one pace bowler who has played more ODIs and taken more ODI wickets than Pakistan's five pacers combined!
