World Cup 2015: Five reasons why India have an upperhand in semis

4) Super-active fielders and Dhoni's leadership

Fielding is an aspect which Indians were once used to be famous for. They have taken the most number of 30 catches in the tournament compared to Australia with 23 and not dropping even a single catch in first four matches.

Wicketkeeper MS Dhoni also have the most dismissals in his account with 15 catches followed by Denesh Ramdin of West Indies with 13 and Brad Haddin of Australia with 11.

Dhoni has now been the most successful Indian captain with 100 ODI wins and it would be foolish to ignore the fact that MS Dhoni guided India to win more number of ICC trophies than any Indian captain would have ever won.

5) Indian cricket fans

Apart from the co-hosts Australia and New Zealand, the Indian team will have the greatest number of supporters at this World Cup. The Swami Army and thousands of other fans become the so-called 12th man of the team, cheering when things go well, cheering when things go wrong, cheering when someone takes a single, and dancing all the time.

Remember the India vs South Africa match at MCG which recorded the maximum of 65,000 people supporting India out of 80,000 people in the crowd.
