Sydney: Half centuries from Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah steered Bangladesh to a challenging total of 246, despite Mohammad Irfan completing a five-wicket haul in a World Cup warmup match Monday.
Opener Iqbal made 81 with five boundaries before being bowled by Yasir Shah, and was run out while on 83 after Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and elected to bat first at Blacktown Olympic Park Oval.
Irfan returned figures of 5-52 as he helped run through the tailenders as Bangladesh made 15 runs for its final four wickets.
