Adelaide, Australia: Bangladesh batsman Anamul Haque has been ruled out of the remainder of the Cricket World Cup after injuring his shoulder in Thursday's game against Scotland and will be replaced by Imrul Kayes.
The International Cricket Council on Friday confirmed Imrul, who averages just under 27 in 53 one-day internationals, was approved to replace Anamul.
Bangladesh has won two of its first four matches and shared the points with four-time champion Australia due to a wash out in Brisbane. Bangladesh faces a crucial Pool A match Monday against struggling England in Adelaide.
Anamul opened and scored 29 in his first two innings of the tournament against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, but was unable to bat after being injured when fielding against Scotland.
