Bangladesh took the new ball straight away, and took the shine off New Zealand's effort as the Kiwis were caught again looking forward too early to a break.



Razzak toiled for 2-100, and Shakib, Sohag Gazi and Nasir Hossain claimed one wicket each among seven bowlers used at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

Bangladesh dropped Al Amin, Mahmudullah and Naeem Islam from its 14-member squad and handed middle-order batsman Marshall Aiyub his test debut.

New Zealand picked newcomers Ish Sodhi and Corey Anderson and dropped Tom Latham, Mark Gillespie, Neil Wagner, Dean Brownlie.
