However barring last two overs, New Zealand dominated today after winning the toss, with opener Peter Fulton scoring 73.

After losing Hamish Rutherford for 34 at 57-1 while attempting a pull shot in the morning, Fulton and Williamson built a 126-run partnership.

Fulton blasted the Bangladesh attack through 198 balls, hitting seven boundaries and one six. He looked impressive in his third test half century and surprisingly fell in the penultimate over before tea off Nasir Hossain by giving an easy catch to Mominul Haque at cover.

Williamson carried on, untroubled and focused, and brought up his fourth test century with one of his few loose shots, a top-edged cut that ran down to the third man boundary. That was the last of his dozen boundaries.

Ross Taylor was with Williamson as he celebrated his ton, but not for long afterwards. Taylor ballooned a leg-side shot off Razzak to the covers and was out for 28 at 244-3, in the last regulation over with the old ball.
