The ICC is reportedly investigating the 3rd ODI between Pakistan and England in Sharjah for corruption.
Pakistan lost the match by six wickets after collapsing from a healthy 132/2 to 208 all out.
Three Pakistani batsmen - skipper Azhar Ali, Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Rizwan - were run out.
Pakistan also missed several chances in the field during England's chase.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan tweeted his suspicion during the game, although the tweets were later deleted.
"3 run outs and a few iffy shots from Pakistan. Never seen that before!!" he wrote. A few minutes later, he added, "They must all think we are stupid."
The ICC anti-corruption unit's attention was drawn to the Sharjah ODI because of suspicious betting patterns before and during the game.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the ICC has learnt that double the normal amount of money was bet on Pakistan to lose.
However, Pakistani coach Waqar Younis has rejected the charges. "I am aware of these allegations. We may have lost but we lost fair and square. I'm satisfied my players have done nothing wrong, and that there is nothing in these allegations," he said.
During the 1990s, many ODIs in Sharjah were tainted by charges of fixing. The Indian team stopped playing there in 2000.
The BCCI has been reluctant to send the Indian team to the UAE for the proposed series against Pakistan in December. It is believed that this is due to concerns about betting and fixing there.
The current BCCI President Shashank Manohar had criticised the IPL's move to the UAE last year.
"Many years back a conscious decision was taken by the BCCI to abstain from matches in the Middle East in view of certain information regarding rampant betting and match-fixing. As far as I know, that decision has not been revoked," he had said back then.
