New Delhi: By signing a Rs 10-crore a year deal with German sportswear giant Adidas, team India vice captain Virat Kohli has now become the new prince of brand ambassador of Indian sportspersons over throwing mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sachin tendulkar. Virat Kohli, is rising star of the India cricket. He is vibrant, full of energy and most importantly is at peak of his cricketing career. He has been performing well for over than a year and has scored on all important occasions. At 25 year old young star is not only talented but good looking and has been named as one of the best looking players in world. All talent and attitude has paid off and young lad has managed to grab host of endorsements.Kohli has also signed a Rs 6.5 crore a year deal with a prominent tyre brand that had master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Steve Waugh as its ambassadors in the past. In terms of annual earnings per brand endorsement, Kohli is right on top, as "he has a more urban appeal compared to Dhoni's mass appeal", say media managers. Kohli's annual endorsement earning may go up further as latest endorsements mean that corporates who had signed him up earlier may have to shell out more for renewals. Corporates are willing to pay a premium given the fact that Kohli is here to stay in Team India, with Dhoni ageing fast. Kohli's youth makes him an ideal choice for brands that chase a younger demography, which is key to India's consumption-led growth and suitable for the population which is young and raring to make a mark.Kohli is currently sponsoring top class brands including Pepsi, Toyota and Cinthol.
