Wellington, New Zealand, Mar 16: Medium-fast bowler Daryl Tuffey has been called into New Zealand's World Cup squad as cover for the injured Kyle Mills.
Tuffey, who has played 85 one-day internationals for New Zealand in an 11-year career, is due to join the team in Mumbai, India on Friday.
Mills suffered a leg injury during New Zealand's most recent Cup match against Canada and coach Mark Greatbatch said Tuffey had been added to the squad as a precaution. New Zealand medical staff are hopeful Mills will recover to take a further part in the tournament.
New Zealand currently leads group A with eight points from four wins and have secured a place in the quarterfinals. AP
