London: Tim Bresnan has been ruled out of the fifth Test against Australia at the Oval, the two
Twenty20 internationals and the five one-day internationals with a stress fracture in his lower back,British media reported.
It is a big set back for Alastair Cook led team as they were hoping to become the first England team
to win four Tests in a series against Australia in this country.
Bresnan, 28, was one of the stars of the series-clinching victory over Australia at Durham.
He has taken 10 wickets at 29 runs each in three test that he has played so far.
He was not played in the 1st test.
Bresnan also contributed two valuable innings as a night watchman. He made 38 in the second
innings at Lord's, and 45 in the second innings at Durham.
