The two legends of the game also got involved in the dirty act of sledging. It was during the first season of IPL when the incident took place. After Ganguly was caught by Graeme Smith, the then Kolkata captain didn't move insisting that the catch was not clean. The third umpire gave the decision in the southpaws favour, but an agitated Warne still went on to have an animated argument with Ganguly.
