Can we afford to forget test debacles…..? Yes if you say India is never going to play a Test match again But since India is going to play three Test matches against West Indies, four Test matches against Australia, one must not forget what has happened here in England.
If we go down the memory line we would recall that Zimbabwe had become a force in ODI's during the time of Andy Flower, Grant Flower Heath Streak and so on but still they were considered minnows as they could not perform the same way in test, the ultimate test of a cricketer.
West Indies, once undisputed king in the game of cricket, lost their respect once they started losing in tests.
So If India have to command respect they have to excel in test cricket too and for that they need different mind set, different skill and of course a different aptitude all together.
