If one goes by the BCCI's intentions for the 2015 World Cup its more likely that senior players like Gautam Gambhir , Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan won't fit in to the scheme of things and the likely team would have only Dhoni, Kohli, and Raina who will have the experience of playing in the World Cup.

Team India has to play couple of more games at home and abroad and by the time World Cup 2015 reaches the new look team will have settled down with young blood like Ambati Rayudu, Dhawal Kulkarni and Sanju Samson most likely to be the part of it.

Before the World Cup 2015 India will be playing against West Indies at home and than embark on Australia tour at the fag end of 2014.

It was imperative that the team does well in England because it will be facing more or less similar conditions in Australia and New Zealand when World Cup happens.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni after achieving the feat of being the most successful ODI skipper said “When I started leading the team, I got a fantastic team then, and I have got a fantastic side right now," "There will be ups and downs, but thanks to everyone, whoever I have played with. Without their contribution it wouldn't really have been possible.

All the senior players I played with and who played under me, followed by the youngsters. I personally feel we are a very good, a fantastic ODI side. And there will be ups and downs, but what is important is to keep the intent positive. Thanks to all the players,"
