New Delhi, Apr 7: Australian Simon Taufel and Pakistan's Aleem Dar, who officiated in the World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka last week, were today named among 17 on-field umpires for the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League commencing tomorrow at Chennai.
Taufel, a winner of five consecutive ICC Umpire of the Year awards, and Dar, a winner of two consecutive ICC Umpire of the Year Awards (2009, 2010) will share the responsibility with some of cricket's most respected international umpires including Asad Rauf, Rudi Koertzen and Billy Doctrove to name a few.
