New Delhi: India's former opening batsman Sunil Gavaskar slammed India's test skipper Virat Kohli for his new batting stance.
Gavaskar was doing commentary for a sports channel and made this comment after Virat Kohli's dismissal in the first innings of the Nagpur test.
The former great said, “Virat's stance is not correct on this kind of wicket. With his feet wide apart, his balance is also not fine."
"Virat needs to shorten his stance because then he can use the crease better. He will be in a better position to play or leave a ball," he added.
Virat is clearly struggling with his new 'feed-wide- apart' batting stance as he has just only one Test century in the last 10 test innings.
In the 1st innings at Nagpur Test, Kohli was caught behind on a Morne Morkel delivery that was swinging away and a bit full.
Kohli was out in the similar fashion in the first test at Mohali when he got a thin edge and went straight to the keeper.
