Dubai, Feb 16: Farhan Saeed, the  pacer of   Pakistan's  physically handicapped cricket team caught the eye with his unique bowling action.

What stands out more is the determination of these players to overcome difficulties to play the game they love.


For 24-year-old Pakistan paceman Farhan Saeed life was miserable after his polio-stricken left leg was amputated before he found cricketing salvation Farhan Saeed delivers the ball during the T20 match between England Disaballity team and Pakistan Disaballity team at the ICC Global Cricket Academy (ICC GCA) in Dubai Sports City on February 11.

Pakistan beat England in the first-ever Twenty20 match between the physically challenged cricket teams by 14 runs.

"I thought I will spend my life in a corner of my house but disabled cricket has given me a new lease of life and now I am about to do something which I had never dreamt of in my life -- playing a match in Dubai

For 23-year-old Matloob Qureshi (in picture) life has blossomed ever since he picked up a cricket bat.


"I lost my left hand in an accident," said Qureshi, who hails from Multan in the Punjab Province.
 
"Cricket has changed my life and now I am gearing up to hit big sixes against England."
