New Delhi: Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly on Tuesday made everyone smile with amazement when he said that if he is not allowed to open the innings, he would take the first flight back to Kolkata.
Sourav made this comment while practising ahead of the Cricket All Stars league in the United States. Dada will play for Sachin Tendulkar's team in the league.
And it seems, Sourav's wish is Sachin's command.
Retired legend Sachin Tendulkar has officially agreed to Sourav Ganguly's demand to open the innings for his team in the upcoming Cricket All Stars League by posting on Twitter.
“Dada your application for the opener's position is being processed!Hope the off drive is coming from the sweet spot @T20AllStars @ShaneWarne,” Sachin tweeted.

His tweet reveals that the master blaster is in full mood to pamper his former team-mate and is looking forward to see him back in action.
Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly are one of the most feared openers of all time in ODIs. The first time they opened for India was at Bloemfontein on 23rd January 1997 and after that they went on to break records one after another.
Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly hold the world record for the maximum number of runs scored by the opening partnership. They have put together 6,362 runs in 129 matches that include 20 century partnerships and 22 fifty partnerships. The 20 century partnerships for an opening pair is also a world record.
All Stars League will bring back the iconic Sachin-Sourav opening pair in action once again and the fans are game for it.
