Legend bowler Shane Warne joined several celebrities who have taken to social media urging for peace, and supporting those affected by the crisis unfolding in Sydney on Monday.
At least one man held up to 50 people at gunpoint at the Lindt Chocolate Cafe at Martin Place, in the city's centre, prompting many to take to Twitter to urge their followers to pray the situationends peacefully.
'Just heard what's happening in Sydney,' Shane Warne tweeted to his more than 1.8 million followers.'Please be safe up there, wish these terrible things would never happen, thinking of you all.'
