London: Sachin Tendulkar feels that there is an urgent need to standardise the technology used for Decision Review System (DRS) across all formats in international cricket.

"We can definitely use technology as long as it is standardised," Tendulkar told reporters at the launch of his autobiography 'Playing It My way' at the Lord's Cricket Ground here today.

"We can't have bits and pieces in different parts of the world. One part of the world is using the other part is using hot-spot and somewhere else it is something else. It's got to be standardised," Tendulkar said during an interaction with the journalists.

Expressing the importance of getting accurate results in the game, he said technology should be treated at par for all cricket teams around the world, big or small.

"Why should we settle for only 50 per cent result, why not get as close to 100 per cent? It's impossible to get it 100 per cent right. There will some errors here and there but why don't we put a package which is standardised across the world," he explained.

"It really doesn't matter whether it's Zimbabwe, Bangladesh is playing or Australia, England is playing. It is as important. An international match is an international match, whichever part of the world it is played in. I feel it is unfair on the lesser teams to not have that full package," he concluded.
