Bangalore, Feb 27 : Sachin Tendulkar hit his 47th century off 103 balls as India crossed the 200-run mark in the 35th over in their World Cup clash against England at Bangalore.
Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat against England in their Group B match of the cricket World Cup here today. India have gone in with two spinners in the match,replacing S Sreesanth with Piyush Chawla.
In a massive blow to England, pacer Stuart Broad is out due to illness and Ajmal Shahzad has been pencilled into the playing XI in his place.In the batting line-up, Michael Yardy has come in for Ravi Bopara.
Both the teams had won their respective opening matches.While India defeated Bangladesh, England beat the Netherlands.
