A proud Sachin Tendulkar took part in the 83rd Air Force Day celebrations at Hindon air base in Ghaziabad on Thursday.
Sachin attended the event in his capacity as Group Captain. He was the first sportsperson to be conferred an honorary rank in the Indian Air Force back in 2010.
The former Indian cricket captain wore his sky-blue IAF uniform on the occasion and exchanged pleasantries with other IAF officers.
He posted photos of the event on his Facebook page later and also expressed his gratitude to members of the IAF.
"Proud of the dedication of the #IndianAirForce. Every member plays the part to perfection. Thank you to each one of them for their commitment and many sacrifices," Sachin wrote.
The IAF is commemorating Air Force Day with an airshow featuring the various aircraft in its inventory.
Sachin also attended the Air Force Day celebrations at Hindon last year when he was accompanied by his wife Anjali.
