Mumbai: Ranjib Biswal representing Odisha in the BCCI appears to be the frontrunner in the stakes for appointment to the post of Indian Premier League chairman, after minister of state Rajiv Shukla resigned, BCCI sources said today.
Among other contenders in the running are, Jagmohan Dalmia from Cricket Association of Bengal and Gangaraju from Andhra cricket association.
Niranjan Shah and Sudhir Dabir, both BCCI vice presidents, have been removed for opposing the cricket body chief N Srinivasan.
