My shares in the custody of the SC no way an admission of guilt: Raj Kundra

New Delhi: Raj Kundra, co-owner of Rajasthan Royals and who has been indicted by the Mudgal committee which probed the IPL spot fixing scandal, has said his shares in the custody of the Supreme Court is in no way an admission of guilt in any manner.

In a press release issued here on Monday, Kundra said, “I hereby undertake to place my entire shareholding of 11.7% in the franchise in the custody of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India or any institution that they direct me to. I will only seek back these shares once I am exonerated of these allegations.”

Reacting to the allegations of match-fixing, the husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, said that all the allegations are completely false. He further said, “I am placing my shares in the custody of the Supreme Court is in no way an admission of guilt in any manner. I have full faith in the judicial system and I will support any further investigation and due judicial process to clear my name and reputation.

Kundra took to the micro-blogging site twitter and posted his complete statement on Mudgal Committee and Supreme court.

Earlier on 14th November, the apex court bench comprising justice T.S. Thakur and justice F.M. Kalifullah had said those under the Mudgal scanner were sidelined Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president N Srinivasan, BCCI chief operating officer (COO) Sunder Raman, IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) co-owner Raj Kundra and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team principal Gurunath Meiyappan besides at least three yet unnamed players.
