India left-arm spinner Radha Yadav has been rescued by the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) in the ongoing Vadodara floods. The left-arm spinner took to Instagram to give an update on the situation of floods in the city of Gujarat and also thanked the NDRF and Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan (VMSS) for coming to her aid.
"We were stuck in a very bad situation. Thank you so much NDRF for rescuing us," Yadav posted on Instagram on Wednesday night.
Floods in Vadodara and other parts of the state have displaced hundreds of people and the forecast for the coming days continues to look grim. The NDRF teams have been deployed in the state to undertake rescue missions and provide relief to the flood victims.
Radha is a part of India's 15-member ICC Women's T20 World Cup squad. She is the only left-arm spinner in the squad and therefore will have a huge role to play in the marquee tournament.
