Bangalore, Mar 13: Australian bowlers had to labour hard against Kenya during their 60-run victory but skipper Ricky Ponting today said he was not disappointed with his bowling attack as they did their job.The Defending Champions today failed to bowl out Kenya with their bowling attack taking just three wickets -- the other three falling to run-outs.

However, Ponting backed the bowlers and said the credit goes to the Kenyans batsmen for their splendid performance."We have done our job tonight. Obviously, we were a bit rusty. Our bowling was okay and probably some sort of intensity is required especially in the middle overs tonight.

Kenyans performance was, I must say, they deserve some credit for the way they batted," Ponting told reporters at the post match conference here tonight.Asked if he was disappointed with his bowlers who failed to bowl out Kenya, Ponting said, "I am not disappointed.

Getting hundred overs from this game is a good sign for us.Probably, it could have been a better option for me to winning the toss and bowled first. All the bowlers had a good work out there going through the full 50 overs."

"I tried a few different things tonight with the spinners particularly during the power plays to give them some experience there. Probably for the first time they have done that. Jason can do more in this type of conditions," he added.Ponting also heaped praise on Michael Hussey who scored 54 after returning from injury today.

"Mike played the way that we know he can play. That his class and his experience showing through. It is his first game after having got back to the national team. He was out due to injury for six or seven weeks.

It is a great sign for us throughout the tournament he got back to his form and fielded throughout the fifty overs," he said.

On his own performance, Ponting said, "I wish I had spent more time at the wicket today. I was trying to get couple of things towards the end but I will up and run as well in the tournament."Cameron White scored just two runs today and has been a bit of-colour so far in the World Cup but Ponting said he was not concerned about his batting form.

"I am not concerned about his form. In the nets he has been hitting the ball very well during the last couple weeks.

He got a pretty good ball today. He has been around for a while and has had more consistent performance in the one-day format during the last couple of years. He will surely turn around pretty quickly for us," he said.

Asked whether he is thinking of changing the batting order against Canada, Ponting said, "I do not think so,probably we look forward a bit more. I do not think we change our thinking for the next game.

"We always felt we are going to win this game before we started talking about what the line up could be. We have to put better thinking in the next couple of days." PTI
